What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund provides Millsaps with financial resources that narrow the gap between actual operating costs and what students pay in tuition. By supporting programs and services inside and outside the classroom, gifts to the Annual Fund help maintain the excellence for which Millsaps is known.
Who gives to the Annual Fund?
Over 4,500 alumni, faculty, parents, and friends gave to the Annual Fund Drive last year. Over 30 percent of our alumni made a contribution to the Annual Fund.
Where does the money go?
A donor has the choice of where his or her contribution is directed - academic programs, faculty support, student financial aid, library holdings or athletics. An unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund is used to support the greatest needs of the College.
Why is every Annual Fund gift important?
The College relies on the Annual Fund to provide dependable and vital revenue for operating expenses and other resources that directly affect the quality of teaching and student life at Millsaps. Also, by making a gift and boosting the alumni giving percentage, you increase Millsaps' chances of receiving major grants from foundations that consider this percentage important when deciding which schools to support.
