The Millsaps Bell Piano Concert Series is an eclectic new performing arts series featuring a sweeping variety of piano performances. It is presented in memory of Mrs. J.Y. Bell, grandmother of U.S. Ambassador to Portugal John Palmer. The inaugural season of the series established the Series' reputation for artistry at the highest level, with both jazz and classical artists of international reputation.
Bell Series performances are complemented by educational programs, from presentations in public and private schools to pre-concert lectures and master classes for advanced students. Through high-quality performances and inspiring programs, the series hopes to encourage piano study, renew excitement about piano music, and provide opportunities to enjoy the work of some of the world's foremost artists.
